In the grand scheme of things, whats the difference between being gay & incest?

I know the actual difference, but they both can be looked at as odd sexual preferences depending on whom u question the oddity. I'm figuring you have to be born with both instances of these preferences, so, that's a pretty even playing field.. Is it that the gay community is just large enough to command acceptance? If there where a group large enough to fight for incest would that be accepted by culture eventually? Is it all just a game of numbers? I'm not advocating gay or incest, just interested in hearing how our culture valuates it's tolerability... Just a question...

Help me resolve a debate please?

as long as you are teaching her responsibility as well. It sounds like you are so there should be no problems. does she earn these treats ; like completing her chores etc; if so then you are doing everything right; I insisted my boys took ten percent of what they received [ cash wise] and banked it . If they got $100 , they banked $10.00 of it . That also taught them about saving for the things they want. It doesn't hurt to occasionally say no either. As we mature we then get to learn we won't always get our way and some things have to be earned and worked towards. It is alright to give when you can ; but it is better to reap the reward, once earned . I believe that is where your mother is coming from. good luck ; hope this helps.

What is the greatest challenge you have ever faste , how did you resolve it,and how did it effect you?

Whether or not to divorce my husband of 21 years was a very hard one. It took me many years to decide to do it. How did it effect me? At first, I was depressed because it was a loss of sorts. After awhile, after I adjusted, I realized it was good decision and it made me more confident in making changes in my life.

Can we pray and ask God to soften a person's heart?

I do...and especially to soften my own heart. In the real world there is a lot of things said to intentionally hurt others and in my case unintentionally. The nicer I get the meaner I sound. I pray for me more than others because of what I say and how I use the intonation of the voice. Praying for everyone's heart is imperative especially in our days and times when people are suppose to be ....blunt........sometimes to the point of rudeness
